Thai-scout is a great value to base your explorations of Huahin, rural Prachuap Khrikan, Pranburi, Sam Roi Yot, Kuiburi, and even parts of Petchaburi. The kind woman who meets you at check in is a pleasure to meet. She respects your privacy and has a genuine desire to provide help if needed. She gave us her phone number and asked us to call her day or night if we had a problem or to request assistance. The house is gated with a driveway and shaded areas to sit outside. There is a table on a terrace where it is a pleasure to have breakfast and listen to birds. The entrance to the house has a security gate, screen, and glass door. There are blackout curtains to insure privacy and keep out the bright sun if desired. The house is exceptionally clean. The home is a 2 bedroom house with a large living room, fully equipped kitchen with appliances: microwave, rice cooker, and there is a 2 burner induction stove located in a smaller section of the kitchen. The small room off the main kitchen has an eating table and cooking area and is separated by a door that can be closed to seal off cooking odor from the house. The refrigerator is large enough to hold several days of food for normal eating. The bathroom works and the water gets hot. The main bedroom has a good a/c that is quiet, ample closet space, and a comfortable bed with bedding that is perfect for the environment. The second bedroom has a fan and if the door is left open plenty of cooling from the living room a/c. The weather is usually pleasant at night so a/c isn't always needed. The living room has a large sofa, bookshelves, large television, and the wifi was strong and never lost connection. The house is well stocked with water and bathroom consumables. The surrounding environment is quiet at night. There are local shops (small businesses) within walking distance. The only caveat to booking Thai-Scout is transportation. You will need a car or moto to fully enjoy the greater area as the location is a little way off toward the countryside.

It's a complete house with two bedrooms, a living room, an equipped kitchen and bathroom, plus a decent front yard with seating and parking, all for the price of a budget room in Hua Hin. Ideal for a family or a group of friends. I was on my motorcycle, so the distance from the beach and general tourist infrastructure was not an issue for me. However, it might be a challenge if you don't have your own vehicle.

Recommended! We called late at night to stop on our route from Bangkok to the south and it was landing to a nice home. The owner attended us promptly and helped us on what we needed. It's a quiet where to rest and freshen up with all you need. Even a full kitchen.
